About me
I have a background in farming, forestry and construction, and I now work in Forest Landscape Restoration in Africa, South America and elsewhere. I have run adventure tours and (shorter!) expeditions in the past.
Motivations
I saw on the last outing just how impactful it can be to take a group of young athletes into a new environment, and how this can create personal outcomes which can result in upward spirals. The older I get, the moreAfrica intrigues me, and seeing it from a river is a rare treat.
Worries
The risks from wildlife are real, so we have to be confident in our 'actions on' dangerous interactions. However, I'm not prone to worry.....should this worry me?!
Fun fact
I have recently taken up surfing and playing the banjo, but fear it may be some time before I can do both simultaneously.
