Bee Cook putting down more watts than me!
I have just finished studying Law LLB at UCL, and am hoping to continue studying at Masters level in the forthcoming year. Outside of academics, I’m a slightly lapsed train enthusiast and armchair rower. I don’t have too many achievements on the water to my name (I think 4th in the J14 8x+ at Nat Schools might be my claim to fame!), but I still enjoy a paddle and a beasting on the ergo every now and again.
I’m a little late joining the RZ team, and I’m sure that I might get asked why it is only now that I’m pressing the go button. There are lots of reasons, but the biggest is that I am trying to train myself not to trust my first instincts. It’s only natural to say ‘I can’t’ in the face of something daunting and scary, but, I have found, it is only by pushing aside that fear that life’s best memories are made.
I’m, surprisingly, not too worried about the headline dangers (crocs, hippos, and sharks) – it’s more so the thing(s) I haven’t thought of that give me the jitters. I suppose I would have to call it ‘the unexpected’!
I am the former President of the UCL TfL Society and have a medium sized Lego collection. I promise you I’m fun at parties!
