Create new connections and stay healthy enough to contribute consistently for the whole trip.
Consistency, optimism, adaptability.
Getting sick and not being able to complete the row.
I am a country girl originally from a sheep station in remote South Australia. I was sent to boarding school at the age of 10 where I was first exposed to rowing and fell in love with the sport. Once I left school I was lucky enough to row in Sydney for 5 years at the Sydney University Boat Club, which led to representative opportunities interstate and overseas that enriched my rowing career. Since finishing my rowing career I have completed a Masters in Physiotherapy and started my career back in country South Australia, whilst also transferring my sporting energy into long distance running. I am passionate about using my skills to raise funds for worthy causes and have demonstrated this in completing Melbourne Marathon and raising $10,000 in 2020 for drought relief in Australia.
Since our meeting in New Zealand in 2016, JamesStephenson has been a cherished friend and mentor. His tireless efforts inZambia, creating community sports programs, have both been inspiring and eye-opening. Learning about the vibrant community he's built there has been enlightening, but it's also highlighted the ongoing need for support. When he presented the opportunity to join RowZambique, I saw it as more than just a chance to hone my rowing and physiotherapy skills—it's an opportunity to make a meaningful difference. It’s an honour to be a part of this expedition and I cannot wait to get started!
I have competed in a stock whip cracking competition.
